About the Mxm nvme PCB

Mxm nvme is an open source PCB design by a-little-wifi, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 82 × 70 mm, with 24 components from 6 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the 9ZXL0651AKLF. By type, the board carries 9 capacitors, 9 resistors, 5 connectors and 1 IC.

From the project

MXM to NVMe SSD adapter

I made an MXM edge connector footprint and wanted to make a board that uses it so I can make some screenshots, so here's a crappy unfinished concept for a board that lets you use one or maybe more NVMe SSDs in an MXM slot. Currently wired for x8x4x4 bifurcation mode.

Feel free to take the MXM edge connector footprint from it.

I didn't do impedance matching or anything yet, the diffpairs are just there to look pretty ✨

Mxm nvme: common questions

How big is the Mxm nvme PCB?

The Mxm nvme measures 82 × 70 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.2 mm thick.

How many components are on the Mxm nvme?

24 components, from 6 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Mxm nvme design files?

From the a-little-wifi/mxm-nvme repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Mxm nvme design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with a-little-wifi. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
