About the TrafficLight PCB

TrafficLight is an open source PCB design by anachrocomputer, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 17 × 50 mm, with 6 components from 5 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 3 diodes and 3 resistors.

From the project

Schematic, PCB design and Arduino sketch for a traffic light using 8mm or 10mm LEDs

Simple PCB design for a traffic light signal head which can be used with the Arduino. Just three LEDs, three resistors and a connector.

PCB designed with KiCad (originally KiCad V3, now updated to V6.0.2). Either 10mm or 8mm LEDs can be fitted. Best to select black soldermask, and make the edges of the PCB black with paint or a marker pen.

TrafficLight: common questions

How big is the TrafficLight PCB?

The TrafficLight measures 17 × 50 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the TrafficLight?

6 components, from 5 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the TrafficLight design files?

From the anachrocomputer/TrafficLight repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the TrafficLight design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with anachrocomputer. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
