About the Split keyboard PCB
Split keyboard is an open source PCB design by Arwinplayz, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 183.2 × 128 mm, with 250 components from 15 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the C173752 and nice!nano v2. By type, the board carries 59 diodes, 58 switches, 58 LEDs, 58 capacitors, 8 resistors and 4 ICs.
It belongs with the keyboards and power & battery designs in this gallery.
From the project
I decided to make a V2 which would allow me to redo/refine some features. That is I want to add a LiPo battery and change the requirement of having both sides plugged in separately to the PC. I already have the parts to build the keyboard so the grant is only for the PCB
I recently got my PCB from JLCPCB but I realised that I had accidentally inverted the holes for the hotswap sockets. This makes it physically impossible for me to actually assembly it properly. Learning from my failures, I decided to make a V2 which would not only fix the socket problem but also allow me to redo/refine some features. That is I want to add a LiPo battery and change the requirement of having both sides plugged in separately to the PC. I already have the parts to build the keyboard so the grant is only for the PCB (and possibly extra stuff such as LiPo battery, resistors, JST PH…

Split keyboard: common questions
How big is the Split keyboard PCB?
The Split keyboard measures 183.2 × 128 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Split keyboard?
250 components, from 15 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Split keyboard design files?
From the Arwinplayz/Split-Keyboard-V2 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Split keyboard design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Arwinplayz. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
