About the VideoULA Buffer Board
VideoULA Buffer Board is an open source PCB design by kgl2001, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 40.1 × 36.3 mm, with 9 components from 7 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the VC2069 Socket and 74HCT14. By type, the board carries 4 connectors, 2 ICs, 2 resistors and 1 capacitor.
From the project
VideoULA replacement for BBC Micro - 44 pin XC9572XL version
This repository contains the hardware design and firmware for the VideoULA V01, a drop-in replacement for the VC2069 Video ULA (IC6) in the Acorn BBC Micro Model B.
The original BBC Micro Video ULA (IC6) is a custom ASIC that is no longer manufactured. Failed or missing ULAs result in a non-functional machine. This project provides a modern replacement using a CPLD and a small external SRAM for palette storage.
