About the Pat mat PCB

Pat mat is an open source PCB design by manifold-engineering, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 19.2 × 11 mm, with 11 components from 7 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 4 capacitors, 4 resistors, 1 connector, 1 diode and 1 inductor.

From the project

Phantom power to tonader adapter

World of professional audio has moved to phantom power for condenser microphones decades ago. But there are good microphones from older days out that used other standards - most notably tonader power (also called T12, T-Power or AB power). Pat-Mat (Phantom And Tonader - Microphone Adapter Thing) is a professional-grade adapter designed to convert standard 48V phantom power into 12V tonader power.

Pat mat: common questions

How big is the Pat mat PCB?

The Pat mat measures 19.2 × 11 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Pat mat?

11 components, from 7 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Pat mat design files?

From the manifold-engineering/pat-mat repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Pat mat design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with manifold-engineering. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
