About the AC-to-DC-converter- PCB
AC-to-DC-converter- is an open source PCB design by Noraiz963, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 37 × 29.5 mm, with 10 components from 6 distinct parts.
By type, the board carries 5 diodes, 2 connectors, 2 resistors and 1 capacitor.
From the project
A basic AC to DC converter circuit designed in KiCad — full-wave bridge rectifier with capacitor filtering. First PCB design project.
A basic AC to DC converter designed in KiCad — my first completed PCB design project. The circuit takes an AC input and converts it into a smoothed, low-voltage DC output using a full-wave bridge rectifier and filter capacitor.
- Bridge rectifier: 4x 1N4007 diodes (D1–D4) arranged in a full-wave rectifier configuration, converting AC input into pulsating DC - Smoothing: 1000µF filter capacitor (C1) to smooth the rectified output into a steady DC level - Bleeder resistor: 10kΩ (R1) to discharge the capacitor safely when the board is disconnected - Power indicator: LED (D5) with a 2.2kΩ…
