About the Neoventa PCB

Neoventa is an open source PCB design by pkesso, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 50 × 54 mm, with 45 components from 31 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the JRC4558D. By type, the board carries 16 resistors, 12 capacitors, 7 connectors, 3 ICs and 3 diodes.

From the project

Neoventa: Venta Overdrive replica

A PCB for the Venta Overdrive, a clone of the PE-12 overdrive by Elektronika. The board is 50 × 54 mm, has 2 layers and fits a Hammond 1590N1 (125B) enclosure. SMD parts go on the bottom side and are assembled by JLCPCB. Pots and the wire pads go on the top side and are soldered by hand.

The schematic and the board are generated by Python scripts from a single circuit description (tools/circuit2.py). The layout was not drawn by hand in KiCad.

Neoventa: common questions

How big is the Neoventa PCB?

The Neoventa measures 50 × 54 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Neoventa?

45 components, from 31 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Neoventa design files?

From the pkesso/neoventa repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Neoventa design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with pkesso. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
