About the Solder practice heart PCB

Solder practice heart is an open source PCB design by sgofferj, published on GitHub under the CC-BY-SA-4.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 83.8 × 101.6 mm, with 26 components from 3 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 16 LEDs and 8 resistors.

From the project

Solder practice PCB for kids

I designed this PCB to teach my 6 years old son soldering and some electronics basics. The cutout on top fits a standard ID card clip, so the PCB can be worn as some kind of brooch if desired.

The resistors need to be calculated according to the LED color and the desired current. Red LEDs running at 10mA would be 150R.
