About the PowerBank PCB

PowerBank is an open source PCB design by sneakylizard123-4, published on GitHub. It is a 4-layer board measuring 50 × 75 mm, with 46 components from 26 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the IP5318. By type, the board carries 14 capacitors, 11 resistors, 10 diodes, 4 connectors, 3 transistors and 1 IC.

From the project

Multi-port USB power bank using the IP5318 fast-charge SoC. USB-C, USB-A, and Micro-USB ports. Built in KiCad 10.

I wanted to make a board using the IP5306's bigger cousin, the IP5318. It is better in many ways, except it is harder to hand solder. It can do DRP USB-C for charging and discharging out of the same connector! It features user-servicable batteries, so they can be replaced instead of replacing the entire power bank

PowerBank: common questions

How big is the PowerBank PCB?

The PowerBank measures 50 × 75 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the PowerBank?

46 components, from 26 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the PowerBank design files?

From the sneakylizard123-4/PowerBank repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the PowerBank design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with sneakylizard123-4. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
