About the Voltage reference PCB

Voltage reference is an open source PCB design by TU-Darmstadt-APQ, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-W-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 34 × 25 mm, with 14 components from 11 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the TMP236A2DCKR, LM399AH#PBF and LT1001CS8#TRPBF. By type, the board carries 6 capacitors, 3 ICs, 3 resistors, 1 connector and 1 diode.

From the project

LM399/ADR1399 based 10 V/15 V sub-ppm stable reference

This repository contains the KiCAD PCB project files for a sub-ppm temperature coefficient negative voltage reference used in the digital laser driver design.

This circuit utilizes the excellent LM399 voltage reference and outputs an amplified voltage of either -10 V or -15 V. There is no option to trim the output voltage as the absolute value is not that important, but stability is. The output voltage will be 10 V / 15 V below the positive pin of the Zener diode.

Voltage reference: common questions

How big is the Voltage reference PCB?

The Voltage reference measures 34 × 25 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Voltage reference?

14 components, from 11 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Voltage reference design files?

From the TU-Darmstadt-APQ/Voltage_reference repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Voltage reference design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-W-2.0 license, which TU-Darmstadt-APQ chose for the repository.
