Alternatively, static characterization can be done using MicroPython control code on Pico and commuicationg via UART from computer using another python script. See directory 3staticcharacterization_control. In general if speed is not an issue, e.g. low frequency rectangular waveforms, MicroPython control is an easy to use alternative.
