Multi-Platform, Modular, Powerful ESC

Remove all sources of power when operating on the board. This includes soldering, mounting the board, connecting wires, or plugging in the pill Use an USB isolator when connecting to your computer DO NOT USE LIPO BATTERIES INDOORS The board stores considerable capacitance -- a spark when you connect to your power supply Ideally you should use a current limited power supply when testing Before powering up follow all recommendations in our building tips section.

MP2-ESC: common questions

What microcontroller does the MP2-ESC use?

The MP2-ESC is built around the STM32F401CCU6_Balckpill, from the STM32 family.

How big is the MP2-ESC PCB?

The MP2-ESC measures 100 × 75 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.69 mm thick.

How many components are on the MP2-ESC?

202 components, from 49 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the MP2-ESC design files?

From the badgineer/MP2-ESC repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the MP2-ESC design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its BSD-3-Clause license, which badgineer chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the MP2-ESC without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
