About the STM32 HC05 PCB

STM32 HC05 is an open source STM32 PCB design by BiomedicalCircuits, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 61 × 42 mm, with 44 components from 19 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the STM32F746VGTx, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the MOUDLE-BLUETOOTH-HC-05(34P-27X13MM). By type, the board carries 18 capacitors, 11 resistors, 2 ICs, 2 crystals, 2 diodes and 1 transistor.

It belongs with the iot & wireless designs in this gallery.

From the project

This board includes a HC-05 Bluetooth module which exposes a serial port interface over bluetooth as a direct link with the microcontroller. The bluetooth module is switched on/off with a transistor switch controlled by a microcontroller pin.

STM32 HC05: common questions

What microcontroller does the STM32 HC05 use?

The STM32 HC05 is built around the STM32F746VGTx, from the STM32 family.

How big is the STM32 HC05 PCB?

The STM32 HC05 measures 61 × 42 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the STM32 HC05?

44 components, from 19 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the STM32 HC05 design files?

From the BiomedicalCircuits/STM32_HC05 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the STM32 HC05 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with BiomedicalCircuits. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the STM32 HC05 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
