From the project
A PCB drone designed for swarm capabilities
The PCB design features a 4-layer PCB stackup for lowered manufacturing costs, with a (nearly) continuous ground plane for reduced RF interference. The area under the MCU and core sensors also feature a continuous 3.3V power plane. The high voltage and current for the ESCs are routed on large copper pours on the bottom layer, with cross-layer connections connected by suture vias.

ProPrj IRIS: common questions
What microcontroller does the ProPrj IRIS use?
The ProPrj IRIS is built around the LQFP-100_L14.0-W14.0-P0.50-LS16.0-BL, from the STM32 family.
How big is the ProPrj IRIS PCB?
The ProPrj IRIS measures 92.7 × 72.5 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the ProPrj IRIS?
244 components, from 33 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the ProPrj IRIS design files?
From the Eugene109/IRIS repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the ProPrj IRIS design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which Eugene109 chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the ProPrj IRIS without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
