About the AP-LED8-THT PCB

AP-LED8-THT is an open source PCB design by FPGAwars, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-1.2 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 36.6 × 16.1 mm, with 10 components from 2 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 8 diodes and 2 connectors.

From the project

Alhambra Peripheral board with 8 through-hole LEDs

It is a tiny board with eight 3mm though-hole LEDs for connecting to the Alhambra-II FPGA board. This board is also used as a reference for teaching students how to design their first PCB (so, it is a kind of "hello world" hardware)

This board is Opensource hardware, certified by the OSHWA

AP-LED8-THT: common questions

How big is the AP-LED8-THT PCB?

The AP-LED8-THT measures 36.6 × 16.1 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the AP-LED8-THT?

10 components, from 2 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the AP-LED8-THT design files?

From the FPGAwars/AP-LED8-THT repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the AP-LED8-THT design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-1.2 license, which FPGAwars chose for the repository.
