Atari Memory Expansion for ABEX Bus
Atari MegaRAM Cart for ABEX =========================
This is a Atari MegaRAM Cart board, designed for the Atari PBI & ECI Bus EXtender or ABEX for short.
This Atari MegaRAM is a PortB/PIA emulator which can expand the internal memory of the Atari, using the memory mapped scheme used in the 80s/90s like CompyShop, RAMbo and others.

Abex megaram: common questions
What microcontroller does the Abex megaram use?
The Abex megaram is built around the STM32F407IGTx, from the STM32 family.
How big is the Abex megaram PCB?
The Abex megaram measures 135.5 × 71.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Abex megaram?
57 components, from 21 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Abex megaram design files?
From the gianlucarenzi/abex-megaram repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Abex megaram design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its GPL-2.0 license, which gianlucarenzi chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Abex megaram without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
