About the Memories PCB

Memories is an open source PCB design by gipi, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 59.9 × 64.3 mm, with 38 components from 14 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the NAND512, AMS1117-3V3 and MT48LC32M8A2. By type, the board carries 22 resistors, 8 capacitors, 3 ICs, 2 connectors and 1 diode.

In this directory there are the KiCAD files and this is the hand soldered version 1.0

The flash memory under experimentation is the NAND512W3A2C, with 512 Mbit and x8 of bus width.

The SDRAM used here is the MT48LC32M8A2.

The KiCad project lives in the gipi/electronics-notes repository on GitHub; these links point at the commit this page was built from.

Memories: common questions

How big is the Memories PCB?

The Memories measures 59.9 × 64.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Memories?

38 components, from 14 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Memories design files?

From the gipi/electronics-notes repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Memories design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with gipi. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
