From the project

Kicad Hardware project of in car network component to manage car traffic and bridge between different interfaces

This PCB was made As part of an Academic engineering final project, the idea behind it is to offer a method of reorganizing information traffic in autonomous vehicles,

The problem I wanted to solve is how to expand the current communication method to support Advanced Drive assist application.

The proposed solution is to build a network built from a combination of CAN bus and Ethernet interfaces, were Ethernet used as backbone.

AVB Ethernet switch with CAN bus: common questions

What microcontroller does the AVB Ethernet switch with CAN bus use?

The AVB Ethernet switch with CAN bus is built around the STM32F765VITx, from the STM32 family.

How big is the AVB Ethernet switch with CAN bus PCB?

The AVB Ethernet switch with CAN bus measures 137 × 55 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the AVB Ethernet switch with CAN bus?

151 components, from 28 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the AVB Ethernet switch with CAN bus design files?

From the guyg3333/AVB_Ethernet_switch_with_CAN_bus repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the AVB Ethernet switch with CAN bus design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with guyg3333. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the AVB Ethernet switch with CAN bus without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
