About the 134khz Rfid Reader PCB

134khz Rfid Reader is an open source PCB design by harsha-2-006, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 92.7 × 65.1 mm, with 14 components from 13 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the EM4095, 560uH and AMS1117-5.0. By type, the board carries 7 capacitors, 3 ICs, 2 resistors, 1 connector and 1 diode.

From the project

Low-frequency 134.2 kHz RFID reader using EM4095 and ESP32

A low-frequency RFID reader designed and built to explore the fundamentals of LF RFID communication systems at 134.2 kHz.

This project uses the EM4095 RFID analog front-end with an ESP32 for signal processing and data handling. A custom PCB with an integrated coil antenna was designed specifically for this implementation.

The system operates at 134.2 kHz and detects compatible LF RFID tags through magnetic field coupling. The EM4095 handles signal amplification and demodulation, while the ESP32 processes the received data.
