About the Distributor PCB

Distributor is an open source PCB design by kieraneglin, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 70.5 × 74.6 mm, with 5 components from 4 distinct parts.

A passive breakout board: two lever-terminal inputs, three JST XH outputs, all six conductors (RX bus, two spares, +12V, GND, +5V) paralleled straight across. No active components, no regulation, nothing to configure. Its job is purely to let a daisy chain branch into more than one direction from a single upstream feed, since the hexagon boards themselves only have one input and one output connector each (see ../hexagon/README.md for that pinout, which this board mirrors exactly).

Distributor bill of materials (BOM)

Distributor: common questions

How big is the Distributor PCB?

The Distributor measures 70.5 × 74.6 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Distributor?

5 components, from 4 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Distributor design files?

From the kieraneglin/hexagon-art repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Distributor design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which kieraneglin chose for the repository.
