About the Ice40 stm32 fsmc test PCB
Ice40 stm32 fsmc test is an open source STM32 PCB design by knielsen, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 76.2 × 48 mm, with 42 components from 20 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the STM32F40X_LQFP144, from the STM32 family. By type, the board carries 25 capacitors, 5 resistors, 4 connectors, 2 switches, 2 diodes and 2 inductors.
From the project
A test of using the FSMC on STM32F4 to communicate directly with an ICE40 FPGA
Small test of fast communication between STM32F4 and ICE40 using the STM32 FSMC.
Pinout for the FSMC (this for plugged into the J3 slot):
func STM32 ICE40 A0 PF0 R4 A1 PF1 R3 D0 PD14 N10 D1 PD15 M11 D2 PD0 T16 NE2 PG9 N12 NOE PD4 T13 NWE PD5 P13
The external clock for the ICE40 is on J3. A test pin PB11 on the STM32F4 is connected to R16 on the ICE40. A serial Tx out from STM32 can be connected from PB10 on the STM32F4 board to T15 on the ICE40 (will be proxied to the FTDI on the ICE40 breakout board).

Ice40 stm32 fsmc test: common questions
What microcontroller does the Ice40 stm32 fsmc test use?
The Ice40 stm32 fsmc test is built around the STM32F40X_LQFP144, from the STM32 family.
How big is the Ice40 stm32 fsmc test PCB?
The Ice40 stm32 fsmc test measures 76.2 × 48 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Ice40 stm32 fsmc test?
42 components, from 20 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Ice40 stm32 fsmc test design files?
From the knielsen/ice40_stm32_fsmc_test repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Ice40 stm32 fsmc test design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with knielsen. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Ice40 stm32 fsmc test without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
