About the Encoder interpolator PCB
Encoder interpolator is an open source PCB design by matthewSorensen, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-S-2.0 license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 78 × 46 mm, with 63 components from 26 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the UA9638C, ICTW8, 24AA02-OT and MCP1754S-3302xMB. By type, the board carries 24 resistors, 22 capacitors, 5 ICs, 4 diodes, 3 jumpers and 2 connectors.
From the project
sin/cos linear encoder interpolator hardware
This project contains source files for hardware designed to interface with industry-standard 1vpp analog-output sin/cos encoders, and convert their output into a high-resolution interpolated digital quadrature signal. It uses iC-Haus' iC-TW8 16-bit sin/cos interpolator IC in order to do this, and has an interface compatible with Renishaw's REE analog interpolators. However, unlike the REE series, it isn't limited to a fixed factory-set resolution and has a SPI interface.
