About the Ddr5-udimm interposer PCB

Ddr5-udimm interposer is an open source PCB design by mcsee-artifacts, published on GitHub. It is a 4-layer board measuring 133.4 × 18.3 mm, with 215 components from 149 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the DDR5 and UMAX 90414-15011-21. By type, the board carries 213 test points and 2 ICs.

From the project

Our custom DDR5 UDIMM interposer with soldering points.

There is another branch for the version without test points

This is a 4-layer PCB that can be used in between an off-the-shelf DDR5-compatible motherboard and a DDR5 SDRAM UDIMM. All signals of the DDR5 bus are routed through the PCB uninmpeded.

It uses a custom connector board to attach a standard vertical mount connector. The connection board is first soldered perpendicularly to the main PCB. Afterwards, the DDR5 connector is soldered on top. Everything was soldered using a standard soldering iron.
