About the CareLite-GPIB PCB

CareLite-GPIB is an open source STM32 PCB design by OpenhimerLab, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 33 × 57.4 mm, with 34 components from 20 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the STM32F411CEU6TR, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the LP5907QMFX-3.3Q1, SN75160 and SN75162. By type, the board carries 13 capacitors, 9 resistors, 4 ICs, 3 diodes, 1 crystal and 1 connector.

It belongs with the sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

CareLite-GPIB: common questions

What microcontroller does the CareLite-GPIB use?

The CareLite-GPIB is built around the STM32F411CEU6TR, from the STM32 family.

How big is the CareLite-GPIB PCB?

The CareLite-GPIB measures 33 × 57.4 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the CareLite-GPIB?

34 components, from 20 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the CareLite-GPIB design files?

From the OpenhimerLab/CareLite-GPIB repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the CareLite-GPIB design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which OpenhimerLab chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the CareLite-GPIB without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
