About the Mdx1 ui PCB

Mdx1 ui is an open source PCB design by pingpongshow, published on GitHub under the CC-BY-NC-4.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 82 × 60 mm, with 15 components from 14 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 7 switches, 3 connectors, 2 diodes, 2 resistors and 1 capacitor.

It belongs with the iot & wireless designs in this gallery.

From the project

Open multi-frequency + pulse-induction metal detector: KiCad hardware, search coil, portable-C firmware, iOS/Android apps. Experimental, unbuilt.

An open, simultaneous multi-frequency + pulse-induction metal detector — hardware, search coil and firmware.

MDX-1 is a from-scratch detector design: a KiCad schematic and 4-layer main board, a 2-layer user-interface board, a hand-wound search coil, portable C firmware with a host simulator and test bench, and iOS/Android companion apps. The receive and transmit engine is specified around a coherent, DSP-first architecture:
