About the Carrier template PCB
Carrier template is an open source PCB design by pinguz97, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-S-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 50 × 42 mm, with 23 components from 3 distinct parts.
By type, the board carries 16 test points and 3 connectors.
From the project
Kicad design files for a Zynq 7020 SoM
This folder contains: - A python script to add die lengths to the Xilinx SoC footprint - A python script to calculate SoM pcb track propagation delays - A Kicad plugin to create a carrier pcb template - A bash script to generate carrier connector symbols
This script adds die lengths to the Zynq SoC .kicadmod` footprint.
Xilinx provides Die-to-Package delay data by specifying max and min delay values (in ps). Unluckly, Kicad footprints can only store die-length values (in mm).

Carrier template: common questions
How big is the Carrier template PCB?
The Carrier template measures 50 × 42 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Carrier template?
23 components, from 3 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Carrier template design files?
From the pinguz97/Zynq-SoM repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Carrier template design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-S-2.0 license, which pinguz97 chose for the repository.
