Projekt powstał na zlecenie Polskiej Agencji Kosmicznej na potrzeby działań edukacyjnych dla misji IGNIS. Realizatorami misji IGNIS byli: Ministerstwo Rozwoju i Technologii, Polska Agencja Kosmiczna i Europejska Agencja Kosmiczna. Projekt wyprodukowano i rozdano w liczbie 100 000 egzemplarzy, nieodpłatnie do polskich szkół.
