About the Ato reference PCB

Ato reference is an open source PCB design by pratham-cloud-ctrl, published on GitHub under the Custom license license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 80 × 50 mm, with 33 components from 20 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the OPA2333AID and 74HC4053D. By type, the board carries 15 resistors, 8 capacitors, 5 connectors, 3 ICs and 2 transistors.

From the project

A digital spinal cord-computer interface concept: research, eight KiCad boards, nRF5340 firmware and FreeCAD assemblies.

An editable, routed 5 V artificial-signal / electrical-test-load circuit. It is one recording channel and one fixed-current biphasic load channel. It is not implant electronics and contains no populated ADC, processor or biological interface.

Open atoreference.kicadpro in KiCad 10.0.6 or later. Local symbols, footprints and component STEP models accompany the project. The 80 x 50 x 1.6 mm board has four 3.2 mm mounting holes at (10,10), (70,10), (10,40), (70,40).

Ato reference: common questions

How big is the Ato reference PCB?

The Ato reference measures 80 × 50 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Ato reference?

33 components, from 20 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Ato reference design files?

From the pratham-cloud-ctrl/Project-ATO repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Ato reference design in my own project?

It is published under Custom license, which limits how it may be reused; read the license before building on it.
