About the PCB Business Card

PCB Business Card is an open source PCB design by Raziz1, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 88.9 × 50.8 mm, with 5 components from 5 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the NT3H1101W0FTTJ. By type, the board carries 2 capacitors, 1 IC, 1 diode and 1 resistor.

It belongs with the iot & wireless designs in this gallery.

From the project

A PCB business card with NFC capabilities designed in KiCad

The figure below shows the equivalent electrical circuits of the dynamic NFC tag and its antenna.

The above circuit can be simplified into an equivalent RLC circuit.

We know that for an NFC tag, the desired frequency is 13.56 MHz. We also know that the IC's parallel capacitance is 50 pF (from the datasheet). Ignore the parasitic capacitance of the antenna for now; we will come back to that. Based on this information, we can work backwards to determine the required inductance of the antenna.
