About the Register PCB

Register is an open source PCB design by SABRINIAC, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 62.5 × 51.6 mm, with 143 components from 3 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 100 resistors, 42 transistors and 1 connector.

From the project

It is for my '60s inspired computer im making base don the Intel 8080. At the time of writing this I have RAM + it's clock done and the ALU Modules done. After I get the registers + buffers I'll only have to make a motherboard and an opcode decoder/microcode.

The SABRINIAC is my '60s inspired, transistor based,, Intel 8008 Architecture computer. Every part of it from the instruction decoder to the alu will be built using purely transistors.

Register: common questions

How big is the Register PCB?

The Register measures 62.5 × 51.6 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Register?

143 components, from 3 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Register design files?

From the SABRINIAC/8BitRegister repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Register design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with SABRINIAC. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
