About the Displayport switch PCB
Displayport switch is an open source PCB design by Scottapotamas, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 60 × 45 mm, with 43 components from 11 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the HD3SS215IRTQT and AP2112K-3.3. By type, the board carries 19 capacitors, 15 resistors, 4 connectors, 3 fuses and 2 ICs.
From the project
Displayport 1.2 two-way switch
Simple board to provide DisplayPort >1.2 source selection control.
While not explicitly designed for a particular direction, the intent is usage with 2 video sources (different computers) and a single sink (one monitor).
- Switching is provided externally through the header. - As this board is a prototype, there's no guarantee of stability or reliability.
- The planned enclosure method is to wrap the board with heatshrink and let it 'hang' in the display cable bundle.
