About the AIOC PCB

AIOC is an open source STM32 PCB design by skuep, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 21 × 31.5 mm, with 47 components from 19 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the STM32F373CBTX, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the MIC5330-SSYML. By type, the board carries 19 resistors, 16 capacitors, 4 diodes, 2 ICs, 2 connectors and 2 inductors.

It belongs with the rf & radio designs in this gallery.

You can watch the videos of the Temporarily Offline and HAM RADIO DUDE YouTube channels below.

There is also a German 4-part article with instructions here.

This gives you 5 (or more) SMD assembled AIOC. The only thing left to do is soldering on the TRS connectors (see here). The total bill should be around 60$ US for 5 pieces plus tax and shipping from China.

AIOC: common questions

What microcontroller does the AIOC use?

The AIOC is built around the STM32F373CBTX, from the STM32 family.

How big is the AIOC PCB?

The AIOC measures 21 × 31.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.2 mm thick.

How many components are on the AIOC?

47 components, from 19 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the AIOC design files?

From the skuep/AIOC repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the AIOC design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which skuep chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the AIOC without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
