About the STM32G4 I2C Slave PCB

STM32G4 I2C Slave is an open source STM32 PCB design by StyriaElectronics, published on GitHub under the CC0-1.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 46.5 × 34.5 mm, with 8 components from 7 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the STM32G431K6Tx, from the STM32 family. By type, the board carries 3 capacitors, 1 IC, 1 connector, 1 switch, 1 diode and 1 resistor.

From the project

STM32G431 as I²C slave for dual ADC sampling with Python interface

This project demonstrates how to configure an STM32G431 as an I²C slave that samples two ADC channels at 10 kHz for 1 second (10,000 samples per channel). The result is transmitted to a master (e.g., Raspberry Pi) over I²C. Sampling can be triggered either by I²C command or via GPIO trigger input on PA8.

STM32G4 I2C Slave: common questions

What microcontroller does the STM32G4 I2C Slave use?

The STM32G4 I2C Slave is built around the STM32G431K6Tx, from the STM32 family.

How big is the STM32G4 I2C Slave PCB?

The STM32G4 I2C Slave measures 46.5 × 34.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the STM32G4 I2C Slave?

8 components, from 7 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the STM32G4 I2C Slave design files?

From the StyriaElectronics/STM32G4_I2C_Slave repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the STM32G4 I2C Slave design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CC0-1.0 license, which StyriaElectronics chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the STM32G4 I2C Slave without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
