About the STMPS PCB

STMPS is an open source STM32 PCB design by tetious, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 85.9 × 44.7 mm, with 113 components from 45 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the STM32F411RCT6, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the AOZ8904CIL, LM1117-3.3V, CHIP-TOP and A5984GLPTR-T. By type, the board carries 34 resistors, 28 capacitors, 16 connectors, 13 jumpers, 8 ICs and 6 diodes.

From the project

A 3d printer board based around the STM32F411.

STMPS is a WIP 3d printer board based around the STM32f411, with inspiration and guidance from the Printrboard, RAMPS 1.4, and the RepRap project.

This board is intended to work with Ambroz Bizjak's astonishingly fantastic aprinter firmware. Configuration files and guidance will be provided once the board is further along.

STMPS: common questions

What microcontroller does the STMPS use?

The STMPS is built around the STM32F411RCT6, from the STM32 family.

How big is the STMPS PCB?

The STMPS measures 85.9 × 44.7 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the STMPS?

113 components, from 45 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the STMPS design files?

From the tetious/STMPS repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the STMPS design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with tetious. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the STMPS without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
