About the Promini cc1101 PCB

Promini cc1101 is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by 13, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 17.8 × 60 mm, with 9 components from 9 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the Arduino Pro Mini 3V3/8MHz, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the CC1101 868MHz 11-pin. By type, the board carries 2 connectors, 2 capacitors, 2 resistors, 1 IC, 1 module and 1 transistor.

It belongs with the rf & radio and sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

A 17.78 x 60 mm two-layer carrier (v1.5) that hard-wires an Arduino Pro Mini to the common green 11-pin CC1101 868 MHz module (19.3 x 17 mm, castellated pads). The Pro Mini sits on the top side, the CC1101 module on the bottom side at the far end, so the board is exactly as wide

Promini cc1101: common questions

What microcontroller does the Promini cc1101 use?

The Promini cc1101 is built around the Arduino Pro Mini 3V3/8MHz, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Promini cc1101 PCB?

The Promini cc1101 measures 17.8 × 60 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Promini cc1101?

9 components, from 9 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Promini cc1101 design files?

From the 13/muhradio_pcb repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Promini cc1101 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with 13. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Promini cc1101 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
