About the VADC-visualized adc PCB
VADC-visualized adc is an open source PCB design by baldengineer, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 32.9 × 50.2 mm, with 28 components from 14 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the 74HCT595 and 74HC245. By type, the board carries 9 resistors, 7 diodes, 6 capacitors, 2 ICs, 2 connectors and 1 transistor.
From the project
Building an SAR ADC from scratch. Circuit schematics, PCB design, KiCad files, and Arduino code.
The shift register and buffer control the relay and six LEDs individually. The relay controls the 2R resistor.
The idea is to daisy chain these together. (So far, only tested with 4 bits.)
Board was fabricated with OSH Park's 4 layer service. The fiberglass material helps the reverse-mount LEDs glow.
