An infotainment system for the Mazda RX-8 that integrates seamlessly with the climate control unit.
A full-stack aftermarket infotainment replacement for a Mazda RX-8, developed as a final-year individual engineering project (BEng Electronic Engineering, Royal Holloway University of London — First Class, dissertation graded 81%).
The system replaces the OEM head unit and integrates directly with the car's existing CAN bus, audio amplifiers, climate control unit, and CD changer — most of which use undocumented, proprietary protocols that had to be reverse engineered from scratch.
