About the Forage PCB
Forage is an open source STM32 PCB design by chinatsu, published on GitHub under the Custom license license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 312.7 × 79.4 mm, with 69 components from 16 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the STM32G431RBTx, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the XC6206P332MR. By type, the board carries 13 capacitors, 3 resistors, 2 ICs, 1 transistor and 1 connector.
It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.

my first attempt at a keyboard not using a pro micro or similar... let's see how it goes
- 48 keys - winkeyless - arrow cluster - uses unified daughterboard (s1, probably)
- design a case, maybe try to get a gasket mount style going? - spend way too much money on a prototype cnc'd case - be sad that things don't work, never work on this again

Forage: common questions
What microcontroller does the Forage use?
The Forage is built around the STM32G431RBTx, from the STM32 family.
How big is the Forage PCB?
The Forage measures 312.7 × 79.4 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Forage?
69 components, from 16 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Forage design files?
From the chinatsu/keyboards repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Forage design in my own project?
It is published under Custom license, which limits how it may be reused; read the license before building on it.
Can I test firmware for the Forage without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
