Schematic extractor

About the Schematic extractor PCB

Schematic extractor is an open source PCB design by D4NGYY, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a board, with 33 components from 12 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the 24C16 and S5933_PQ160. By type, the board carries 12 capacitors, 5 resistors and 2 ICs.

From the project

Reconstruct electrical topology from vector-PDF schematics — Components↔Nets graph, YOLO component detector, LLM tool-calling. Honest, measured F1 scores.

Reconstruct the electrical topology of a vector-PDF schematic — components, pins, and the nets that connect them — as a queryable Components↔Nets graph, exportable to SPICE / KiCad / JSON and answerable in natural language through an LLM tool-calling layer.

Legacy schematics (service manuals, CAD exports) are locked as pixels or vector strokes with no machine-readable connectivity. This project bridges them to the modern ecosystem: from a flat PDF to a graph you can simulate, version, and ask questions about.

Schematic extractor: common questions

How many components are on the Schematic extractor?

33 components, from 12 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Schematic extractor design files?

From the D4NGYY/schematic-extractor repository on GitHub, which has the schematic and a netlist; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Schematic extractor design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which D4NGYY chose for the repository.
