Electronic Leadscrew for Optimum TU-2506V-ELS lathe
This directory contains the schematics and PCB CAD files for the controller boards. To fit in the available space in the lathe casting they are designed as a stack.
The mcu/ subdirectory contains the designs for the MCU carrier board, which basically exists to route signals from the STM32F411 Black Pill board to the adjacent ones via headers. The character VFD display also connects to this board via extended headers.

Mcu: common questions
What microcontroller does the Mcu use?
The Mcu is built around the STM32F411_Blackpill_no_debug, from the STM32 family.
How big is the Mcu PCB?
The Mcu measures 91.4 × 52.1 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Mcu?
49 components, from 46 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Mcu design files?
From the djmdjm/TU-2506V-ELS repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Mcu design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its ISC license, which djmdjm chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Mcu without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
