About the Testbench PCB

Testbench is an open source PCB design by dojoe, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 100 × 113 mm, with 9 components from 7 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the TINYMEGA and 74HC595. By type, the board carries 3 ICs, 3 capacitors, 2 connectors and 1 transistor.

It belongs with the test & measurement designs in this gallery.

From the project

A multi-bank MRAM based memory card for Roland instruments

This is a quick and dirty test jig I built to test the memory card. It performs these tests, in order:

1. Check voltage rails (5V provided from outside, 3.3V generated on the card). 2. Single bank full read/write with data checking to test address and data lines. 3. Test write protect and bank switches - the user is prompted to operate the switches while the test program monitors the switch positions. 4. Verify bank switching logic - while the bank switches are tested, the test program writes a byte value identifying the bank to each and checks in a second pass that all values are read back…

Testbench: common questions

How big is the Testbench PCB?

The Testbench measures 100 × 113 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Testbench?

9 components, from 7 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Testbench design files?

From the dojoe/roland-mram-card repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Testbench design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with dojoe. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
