About the Rogowski PCB

Rogowski is an open source PCB design by eauel, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 88 × 94 mm, with 17 components from 5 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the INA128 and MCP1525-TT. By type, the board carries 7 capacitors, 7 resistors, 2 ICs and 1 connector.

openzmeter (oZm) is an Open Source system designed for power quality analysis and smart energy metering in power networks. It has been designed to comply with international standards IEC 61000-4-30 and EN 50160. It is able to measure RMS voltages with an accuracy up to 0.1%, frequency up to 10 mHz (between 42.5 and 57.5 Hz) and RMS currents according to different sensor probes (the basic version can handle up to 400 V and 50 A RMS using an onboard Hall effect sensor with a precision of 1%).

Rogowski: common questions

How big is the Rogowski PCB?

The Rogowski measures 88 × 94 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Rogowski?

17 components, from 5 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Rogowski design files?

From the eauel/openzmeter repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Rogowski design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which eauel chose for the repository.
