About the Spark nas PCB

Spark nas is an open source PCB design by emb3rcia, published on GitHub. It is a 8-layer board measuring 203.7 × 134.5 mm, with 409 components from 75 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the B3221XM3BDGVI-U, RK3568, KSZ9031RNXIA, STUSB4500QTR and SFEM016GB2ED1TO-I-5E-111-STD. By type, the board carries 258 capacitors, 86 resistors, 7 inductors, 5 ICs, 4 transistors and 3 crystals.

From the project

Open-source RK3568 based Network Attached Storage (NAS) device using non-NDA components.

spark-nas is non-NDA fully open source 8-layer USB-C powered NAS supporting 3 SATA III 2.5-inch drives based on a custom PCB using a 4-core ARM-based CPU (Rockchip RK3568). It provides the user with a GbE Ethernet port for connectivity, 16GB of eMMC 5.1 storage and 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM.

Even though it is fully a hobby project, it is designed for replicability by anyone and is fully documented.
