About the Evtivity ev tester PCB

Evtivity ev tester is an open source PCB design by EVtivity, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 100 × 64 mm, with 51 components from 33 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the C51118 and C1848341. By type, the board carries 19 resistors, 8 capacitors, 6 diodes, 5 transistors, 5 connectors and 2 ICs.

It belongs with the iot & wireless designs in this gallery.

From the project

An open-source, EV-side charging simulator. It emulates an electric vehicle so you can test AC charging stations (EVSE) and CSMS backends on the bench, without a real car.

An open-source, EV-side charging simulator. It emulates an electric vehicle so you can test AC charging stations (EVSE) and CSMS backends on the bench, without a real car.

Built around a Seeed XIAO ESP32-S3 on a small carrier PCB, it drives the SAE J1772 / IEC 61851-1 Control Pilot line through states A, B, and C, reads the charger's offered current from the CP PWM, and reports proximity. A charger sees a full session lifecycle: vehicle detect, transaction start, Charging status, offered current, transaction stop.
