About the Nano488 PCB

Nano488 is an open source PCB design by fachat, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 106.8 × 75.9 mm, with 23 components from 17 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the 75160, 75161P, 74LS86N, 74LS06N and PORT_IEEE_CONN. By type, the board carries 9 ICs, 5 capacitors, 4 connectors, 2 jumpers, 1 LED and 1 resistor.

From the project

An IEEE488 interface for the PC using USB and an Arduino Nano (tm)

An IEEE488 interface for the PC using USB and an Arduino Nano (tm)

This IEEE488 interfaces uses an Arduino Nano (tm) and its serial-over-USB interface to have a PC control the IEEE488 interface.

The design is made to be able to work as both, a controller or a device, but the main purpose is to work as a disk drive for the Commodore PET computers.

The design is inspired by https://github.com/Twilight-Logic/AR488 but I had to rearrange some lines to add the Commodore disk drive's ATNA response circuit.
