About the SolarChargerSZBK07ModuleV2 PCB
SolarChargerSZBK07ModuleV2 is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by farmerkeith, published on GitHub. It is a board, with 7 components from 6 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ArduinoNano, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the SZBK07_DC-DC_module, AD822A and MP2307_DC-DC_module. By type, the board carries 4 ICs and 3 transistors.
It belongs with the power & battery designs in this gallery.
From the project
Hardware and software for an MPPT solar charger. It uses an SZBK07 DC converter module, a MOSFET diode. The main software is in the form of an MPPT library header file.
There are 2 versions of the schematic. The original design was suitable for a 60-cell solar panel with an MPP voltage of 30 volts. The additional version is suitable for a 36-cell solar panel with an MPP voltage of 18 volts. The difference is in the design of the MOSFET diode, which in the original design uses an N-channel MOSFET and relies on there being a significant voltage difference between the panel voltage and the battery voltage. The second design uses a P-channel MOSFET and derives its bias voltage from ground, and so does not rely on panel voltage.

SolarChargerSZBK07ModuleV2: common questions
What microcontroller does the SolarChargerSZBK07ModuleV2 use?
The SolarChargerSZBK07ModuleV2 is built around the ArduinoNano, from the AVR/Arduino family.
How many components are on the SolarChargerSZBK07ModuleV2?
7 components, from 6 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the SolarChargerSZBK07ModuleV2 design files?
From the farmerkeith/SolarChargerSZBK07ModuleV2 repository on GitHub, which has the schematic and a netlist; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the SolarChargerSZBK07ModuleV2 design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with farmerkeith. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the SolarChargerSZBK07ModuleV2 without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
