About the Air sensor PCB

Air sensor is an open source PCB design by FeatureNAB, published on GitHub under the CC-BY-NC-4.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 34.1 × 33.6 mm, with 31 components from 17 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 13 capacitors, 8 connectors, 4 resistors, 3 diodes, 1 transistor and 1 inductor.

It belongs with the sensors, iot & wireless and displays & leds designs in this gallery.

From the project

Smart Air Quality Sensor built using ESP32, SEN66 and ESPHome

The device uses an ESP32 and the Sensirion SEN66 to track 9 different air quality metrics (PM1, PM2.5, PM4, PM10, VOCs, NOx, CO2, Temperature, and Humidity) and displays them on an e-ink screen. It connects natively to Home Assistant and the firmware is written using ESPHome.

3D Files can be found on Printables, on Makerworld, or in the releases tab.

Air sensor: common questions

How big is the Air sensor PCB?

The Air sensor measures 34.1 × 33.6 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Air sensor?

31 components, from 17 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Air sensor design files?

From the FeatureNAB/air-sensor repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Air sensor design in my own project?

It is published under CC-BY-NC-4.0, which limits how it may be reused; read the license before building on it.
