This is a PCB for a 45% keyboard. Supports ALPS and Cherry MX switches. No LEDs, only one SMT LED on the front bottom side. The supported layouts are this and this.

The controller MCU is STM32F042K6T7 - 32kB flash, 6kB RAM, DFU bootloader in ROM, LQFP-32 package. The BOOT0 pin for entering the bootloader on power up is brought out to a pushbutton on the bottom side of the PCB.

Kb45p: common questions

What microcontroller does the Kb45p use?

The Kb45p is built around the STM32F042, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Kb45p PCB?

The Kb45p measures 245.3 × 75.6 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Kb45p?

101 components, from 14 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Kb45p design files?

From the flabbergast/kicad repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Kb45p design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its BSD-3-Clause license, which flabbergast chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Kb45p without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
