About the Pmod crypto PCB

Pmod crypto is an open source PCB design by fm4dd, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-1.2 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 41 × 20.3 mm, with 11 components from 8 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the ATECC508A. By type, the board carries 3 capacitors, 2 connectors, 2 test points, 2 resistors, 1 IC and 1 switch.

From the project

1Mbit I2C CRYPTO AUTH PMOD ATECC508A

This PMOD connects the Microchip ATECC508A crypto authentication device over I2C, using Digilent's PMOD interface type 6A per PMOD specification v1.3.1. The PMOD module can be chained to add additional I2C devices to the bus. The onboard I2C bus pull-up resistors can be enabled/disabled, using the DIP switch.

This design is registered under the OSHWA Open Source Hardware Self-Certification:

Pmod crypto: common questions

How big is the Pmod crypto PCB?

The Pmod crypto measures 41 × 20.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 0.8 mm thick.

How many components are on the Pmod crypto?

11 components, from 8 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Pmod crypto design files?

From the fm4dd/pmod-crypto repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Pmod crypto design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-1.2 license, which fm4dd chose for the repository.
