About the Kicad selka mk2 PCB

Kicad selka mk2 is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by Jan-Aarela, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 64.8 × 101.7 mm, with 102 components from 6 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ATtiny861A-S, from the AVR/Arduino family. By type, the board carries 64 diodes, 27 connectors, 9 resistors, 1 IC and 1 capacitor.

Kaytin protoversiota yövalona kotona :D ja iski idea. Mitä jos, tästä tekisi selkäsalaman. Niinkuin ysärillä... KiCadi tulille vaan ja lopputulos alla:

Ledit on jaettu puolin kahteen eri charlieplexiin.

Kicad selka mk2: common questions

What microcontroller does the Kicad selka mk2 use?

The Kicad selka mk2 is built around the ATtiny861A-S, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Kicad selka mk2 PCB?

The Kicad selka mk2 measures 64.8 × 101.7 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Kicad selka mk2?

102 components, from 6 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Kicad selka mk2 design files?

From the Jan-Aarela/Salama-64 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Kicad selka mk2 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Jan-Aarela. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Kicad selka mk2 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
